this home and this family made our holiday. we are an adult family of five with various interests and we all found the farm and surrounding area fascinating and loved exploring and sharing stories... about all that we did over evening meals on the back deck. the pets felt like our own and made our stay extra special. the farm animals were fascinating and we loved observing and learning about them as much the surrounding wild life. the guided tour was informative and enhanced our week. we loved the various fruits and the trails leading to the waterfalls and pools. the home was beautifully appointed and functional. we were in want of nothing. the special touches were the treats and time we got spend with this amazing couple, and learn about the area, local activities like zip lining and horse back riding. tips about hidden gem beaches and local fish and produce markets made our excursions and day trips even better. dani and markus really got a sense of what we enjoyed and made recommendations that were truly appreciated. they were considerate and personable and very interesting to chit chat with when we crossed their paths during the day or shared the sensational farmhouse breakfast with. our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. we look forward to returning.read more
We stayed at hacienda mil bellezas for about a week and we incredibly enjoyed the stay. Markus was more than kind and we really loved the stay. The guesthouse was very well equipped and definitely... warm and welcoming, great cozy atmosphere. Also not too hot because of the very well designed windows which allow the air to cool the rooms down even during the warmth of Costa Rican noons. The sourrounding jungle is more than beautiful although sometimes you have to be careful and watch out for animals, but considering that it is the jungle that should not be a surprise and we did not come across anything more dangerous than the farmcat named Strudel:). The trails Markus and the farm workers constructed are a nice way to explore the nearby wilderness without getting too far away from the farm and the different natural pools formed by the river crossing the property are also more than beautiful. Very recommendable, we would definetly come back. Thanks a lotread more
We stayed 2 nights at Hacienda Mil Bellezas and regretted that we could not extend our stay. We loved this wonderful place and can recommend it to everybody who loves to be in touch which nature. The... only "noise" you hear is purely the sound of nature. Markus takes care of all your needs and we would highly recommend his dinner! Our kids loved to be in touch with all the animals on his property. The accommodation is convenient and has plenty of space for a family of 5. The only thing our girls missed was hot water in the shower. A great accommodation!read more

Extraordinary day spent at this wonderful retreat off the normal tourist route yet so close to Manuel Antonio and Quepos. Dani and Marcos were wonderful personable devoted hosts on this magic spot... where you can enjoy a farm to table home cooked meal, see tropical fruits and vegetables fall right off the tree, some friendly farm animals and orphan raised deer and delightful trails through virgin rainforest (ever seen pre-historic fern trees!) leading to the most delightful waterfalls and natural deep swimming pools. A great way to spend the day in Costa Rica at fantastic value. We will be back!read more
What a wonderful day we had!
Walking through Primary Forest where the time is frozen and natural pools await us to cool off... It was a low key but authentic nature walk we enjoyed so much.
Dani's... gourmet meal was the icing on the cake we so much appreciated.
While it's close enough from the Manuel Antonio where we stayed, it felt like we were a world away!
No tourists or buses in sight and it was just us and the jungle.
Hope to visit again soon.read more
